Joshua Sparks writes psychological thrillers about the secrets families keep from each other — and from themselves. His novels, Don’t Wake Daddy and Children Saw It First, explore how the stories we tell to protect the people we love can outlast the truth they were meant to guard.

Joshua’s fiction is built on a simple belief: readers deserve to be unsettled honestly. His books deal with difficult subjects — childhood trauma, domestic control, the long aftermath of violence — but he writes them from the inside of the people living through them, not from a distance. The goal isn’t to shock. It’s to make you feel, page by page, exactly what it costs the people in the story to keep going.

Joshua is a husband and father of three. He lives with his family and is currently at work on his next novel.
